Guwahati, Aug 30: Guwahati, Assam’s bustling city, can now boast of its longest flyover, which was officially inaugurated in Maligaon. Assam’s Chief Minister, Himanta Biswa Sarma, presided over the inauguration ceremony, joined by other cabinet ministers.
This impressive infrastructure project spans 2.6 kilometers, encompassing four lanes, and connects Maligaon Chariali to Kamakhya Temple Road tri-junction, making it the longest flyover in the state of Assam. The construction of this monumental flyover came at an estimated cost of Rs 420 crores.

The inauguration of this significant flyover took place on the auspicious occasion of Rakhi Purnima, adding to the festive spirit of the day. The flyover has been fittingly named the Nilachal Flyover.
