Ayodhya, Nov 11: Ayodhya is poised to set a new Guinness World Record this Deepotsav as the Uttar Pradesh government aims to illuminate more than 24 lakh diyas (earthen lamps) at 51 ghats. The administration has made extensive arrangements for this grand celebration, building on the success of previous years where Deepotsav consistently set new records.

To involve people worldwide in this ambitious endeavor, the state has introduced an online platform through the “Holy Ayodhya” mobile app. This app allows individuals to contribute to the diya lighting by donating one or more lamps. The pricing is flexible, with a single earthen lamp available for ₹101, ₹251 for 11 diyas, ₹501 for 21 lamps, and ₹1,100 for 51 earthen lamps, all payable online.

Participants can download the app, book diyas in their name, and, after Deepotsav, receive the diya, Prasad, and Saryu water as blessings at their provided address. The app accommodates contributions ranging from one to 51 diyas, enabling both individual and family participation. The district administration will review the applications received on the app and ensure the corresponding diyas are lit during the celebration.

Different packages offer additional offerings based on the number of diyas booked. For 11 earthen lamps, offerings from the Ram temple and diyas will be dispatched through courier.

The ₹501 package includes temple offerings, a Ramnami gamchha (towel), and water from the Saryu River. The fourth package, comprising 51 diyas, includes prasad of Ramlala, a Ramnami Gamchha, a model of the Ram temple, and Saryu water for the contributor.

In a related development, officials from the Sri Ram Janambhoomi Teerth Trust extended an invitation to State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ (consecration) ceremony at the Ram Temple, scheduled for January 22.

Adityanath expressed his gratitude for the invitation, highlighting the auspiciousness of the occasion.
