Filmfare Awards

Barpeta, April 28: Suman Adhikary, a talented youth from Barpeta, has brought pride to Assam by winning two awards at the 68th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2023 in collaboration with Maharashtra Tourism.

Adhikary, along with Akshat Ghildiyal and Harshavardhan Kulkarni, won the Best Story Award and the Best Screenplay Award for the film Badhaai Do.

Adhikary’s recognition is not new as he has previously won a Filmfare for his directed and scripted short film Sorry Bhaisaab, and he was also nominated for an IIFA for Best Screenplay for Badhaai Do.

The Filmfare Awards are presented annually by the Times Group to recognise creative and technical achievements in the Indian film industry.

For decades, the awards have served as a mark of respectability and accomplishment in the industry. This year’s Best Film nominations include films that have elicited every imaginable feeling from the audience.

The ceremony was hosted by Bollywood’s bhaijaan, Salman Khan, along with co-hosts Ayushmann Khurrana and Maniesh Paul. Several performers, including Vicky Kaushal, Govinda, Tiger Shroff, Janhvi Kapoor, and Jacqueline Fernandez, lit up the stage with their riveting performances.

Suman Adhikary’s achievements in Indian film deserve congratulations, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
