Bharat Vyapar Bandh: Commercial establishments to be shut in Nagaland

Nagaland, Feb 25: Shops in Nagaland will remain shut because of the ‘Bharat Vyapar (trade) Bandh’ called by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT).

The Kohima Chamber of commerce and industries (KCCI) informed that as per the directive issued by the Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CNCCI), it has decided to support and enforce the Bharat Vyapar bandh in Kohima.

All business and commercial establishments have been notified to co-operate and shut down their shutters from 6 AM to 4 PM on Friday.

It has also requested all units under KCCI to monitor that the bandh is observed within its respective jurisdiction.

Earlier, CNCCI had notified that all business establishments in the State would remain closed within the designated period to show support.

The Bandh is to be limited only to commercial business activities.

The Nagaland Medical Dealers Association (NMDA), Zunheboto Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ZCCI), and the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) also extended their support for the bandh.
