Itanagar, Nov 01: Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu shared the video of the movie – ‘Bhediya’ shot entirely in the state and is set to release on November 25.

CM said that the movie showcases the scenic beauty and cultural grandeur of our state. Filmed in picturesque regions of Ziro, Sagalee, Pakke Kessang, I’m sure Arunachal is going to be a favorite film shooting destination. I profusely thank Producer Shri Dinesh Vijan ji and Director Amar Kaushik ji for choosing our beautiful state for shooting the movie.

CM Pema Khandu also praised the initiative for giving the opportunity to local talents including musicians and technicians. Over 70 pc of artists in Bhediya are from the state including a lead character – Jomin. The film will give a new identity to the people of North East. I wish Bhediya a grand success.

Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan steps into a new genre with Amar Kaushik’s Bhediya, where he plays Bhaskar, who is a werewolf. While Varun has starred in several comedy films including Coolie No 1 and Judwaa 2, horror-comedy was a new subject for him. Nevertheless, the actor took it as a challenge as he wishes to “entertain through a diverse array of roles”.

Backed by Maddock Films and directed by Amar Kaushik, Bhediya stars Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon, Deepak Dobriyal, and Abhishek Banerjee in the lead roles.

The film is releasing in cinemas in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil in 2D and 3D on November 25, 2022. It is reportedly connected to the Stree universe. A sequel to Stree is in the works and Varun’s werewolf is expected to make an appearance.

Sharing the picture, “Happy Halloween.” Actor Nushrratt Bharuccha dropped a comment, she wrote, “Ohhh my!”. The actor`s `Bawaal` co-star Janhvi Kapoor reacted with fire emoji. Actor Dino Morea also commented. He wrote, “Damnnnnn.” Varun and Kriti, on Friday, unveiled `Thumkeshwari`, the first song of their horror comedy film `Bhediya`.

It was shot in Arunachal Pradesh earlier this year. Recently, the makers unveiled the official trailer of the film which received positive responses from the audience.

The film which went on floors earlier in March in Arunachal Pradesh will bring together the dynamic duo of producer Dinesh Vijan and director Amar Kaushik, who also helmed the 2018 blockbuster movie `Stree`. Meanwhile, Varun will also be seen in director Nitesh Tiwari`s next `Bawaal` along with Janhvi Kapoor.
