New Delhi, Jan 01: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is set to convene a crucial meeting on Tuesday to discuss the upcoming consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22.

Key leaders, including Union Home Minister Amit Shah, party president J.P. Nadda, and two office bearers from each state, are expected to attend this significant gathering.

Rituals and Schedule

The sacred rituals at the Ram Temple are slated to commence on January 14, culminating in the consecration ceremony on January 22. The ceremony will mark the enshrinement of three idols at the temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other top leaders will grace the occasion, witnessing the consecration of Ram Lalla at the sanctum-sanctorum at 12.20 pm.

Role of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust

The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, entrusted with the construction and management of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, is overseeing the meticulous arrangements for the grand event. The trust has extended invitations to 4,000 saints representing diverse sects to participate in the ceremony, emphasizing the broad spiritual significance of Ayodhya.

Vedic Rituals and Main Consecration Ceremony

Vedic rituals for the Pran-Pratishtha (consecration) ceremony of Ram Lalla will kick off on January 16, a week before the main event. Renowned priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit from Varanasi is designated to perform the central rituals on January 22. Ayodhya will observe the Amrit Mahautsav from January 14 to January 22, encapsulating the fervor surrounding this historic occasion.

Prime Minister Modi’s Call for Celebrations

Prime Minister Modi, recognizing the immense excitement and sentiment surrounding the Ram Temple, urged the nation to contribute creations such as ‘bhajans’ related to it on social media using the hashtag ‘Shri Ram Bhajan’.

Emphasizing a collective outpouring of emotions and devotion, PM Modi encouraged lighting special diyas in homes on January 22, transforming the day of ‘pran pratishtha’ into a ‘Deepawali’. Additionally, he requested citizens to refrain from visiting Ayodhya on the ceremony day to ensure a smooth and hassle-free event.
