Kohima, Sept 25: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Nagaland has undergone a leadership change as Benjamin Yepthomi takes on the role of the new state president. This appointment, effective immediately, reflects the party’s commitment to strengthening its presence and leadership in Nagaland.

Benjamin Yepthomi brings a wealth of experience to his new position. He previously served as the vice president of the Nagaland state BJP and held the position of state president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) Nagaland for two consecutive terms. His leadership and dedication to the party have earned him this significant role.

Outgoing state president Temjen Imna Along has played a crucial role in Nagaland’s political landscape. He has been the State President of the BJP in Nagaland since January 15, 2020.

Along with his party leadership role, he also serves as a Member of the Legislative Assembly representing the Alongtaki constituency in the Nagaland Legislative Assembly. Additionally, he has been the Minister of Higher and Technical Education in the Fourth Neiphiu Rio ministry since 2018.
