Agartala, April 25: A tragic incident unfolded as a 27-year-old BSF jawan, deployed for Lok Sabha election duty in Tripura’s East Parliamentary Constituency, was discovered dead inside a bus.

The bus was en route to a temporary camp for security forces at Kanchanpur under North District. The jawan, identified as Raksa Nargis Keshav from the 199th battalion of BSF in Panisagar, North Tripura, hailed from Latur, Maharashtra.

Details of the Incident

According to sources, the incident occurred late at night while the jawan and several other BSF personnel were returning to the temporary camp. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear, with authorities uncertain whether it was a case of suicide or an accidental death. Notably, the jawan’s rifle was found unlocked, adding to the mystery surrounding the tragedy.
