The ongoing search operation aims to bring the situation under control and ensure the safety of the local residents.

The state of Manipur has recently witnessed violence, stemming from a rally organized by the All Tribals Students Union (ATSU) on May 3. The rally was held to protest against the demand for including the Meitei/Meetei community in the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. The protest followed a directive from the Manipur High Court on April 19.

In light of the situation, Security Forces have reiterated their appeal to individuals in possession of snatched weapons to surrender them immediately. This step is crucial for maintaining peace and stability in Manipur. Failure to comply with this surrender request will result in strict legal action against the offenders, as warned by the Security Forces.

The search operation and efforts to restore normalcy in Manipur continue, with the security agencies working diligently to ensure the safety and well-being of the local population.
