Itanagar, March 17: In a significant development ahead of elections, the Ziro Police in Arunachal Pradesh intercepted a Scorpio vehicle during a routine check in the Pine Grove area.

The inspection led to the seizure of a staggering amount of Rs 59,20,000 in cash from Boa Terry, a resident of Boa Shimla in the Kamle district.

The police, acting on suspicion, halted the vehicle and conducted a thorough search, ultimately discovering the large sum of money concealed within a grey journey bag.

The Scorpio, reportedly carrying the confiscated cash, was traveling from Ziro to Kamle district at the time of the interception.

The entire operation was carried out in strict adherence to legal protocols and under the supervision of an executive magistrate, ensuring the proper handling of the seized cash.
