Itanagar, May 27: Ahead of the impending vote counting from the recent assembly and Lok Sabha elections, Pawan Kumar Sain, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Arunachal Pradesh, assumed responsibility for overseeing the preparations in the Aalo region of the West Siang district.
Accompanied by Mamu Hage, the district’s election officer, CEO Sain meticulously inspected the designated counting venue for three significant assembly constituencies: Liromoba, Aalo East, and Aalo West, as stated in an official release on Saturday.
Expressing satisfaction with the level of readiness observed, CEO Sain emphasized the importance of adhering to the guidelines set by the Election Commission of India.
He urged all returning officers to ensure strict compliance with these directives.

Additionally, CEO Sain instructed assistant returning officers to compile a comprehensive report regarding the reported deterioration of certain polling stations within the district, an issue that recently came to attention.
He directed them to convey this information through Booth Level Officers (BLOs).
The electoral process in Arunachal Pradesh commenced on April 19th with the first phase covering 50 assembly seats out of the total 60 constituencies, along with two Lok Sabha seats. The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured victory in ten seats uncontested.
