Meghalaya, Jan 30: Meghalaya chief minister Conrad Sangma has reviewed the draft Meghalaya Youth Policy that is at its final stages of completion.

The Meghalaya Youth Policy seeks to create a holistic environment where the youths can harness their potential and engage in different activities ranging from sports, co-curricular activities, and entrepreneurship to skill-based development.

The meeting that took place in Shillong on Friday examined whether the different interventions enshrined in the draft policy are relevant to the needs of the youths.

“The draft Meghalaya Youth Policy 2021 is at its final stage of development & will be put up in the public domain by next week. Discussions were held today to refine the Policy, to ensure that the interventions are applicable & relevant to the needs of our youth today,” Conrad Sangma tweeted.

 

The chief minister had launched the Youth Policy Survey Portal in December last year.

The opinions of all stakeholders would be taken into consideration while drafting the policy, Sangma had earlier said.
