Agartala, July 13: Sudha Mogh, health care workers who was carrying out a door-to-door COVID vaccination campaign. He has been attacked by two locals while giving vaccines in Kathal Bagan area of ​​Shantirbazar sub-division.

Mogh alleges that a teacher who stays in that locality had spread negativity among the people and scare them in the name of COVID-19.

Sudha Mogh, MPW, said “We are health workers, we go to different areas to do vaccination. In Kathal Bagan there was a planned vaccination campaign. People were waiting to take their vaccines. A teacher who was present there was spreading negative things about COVID vaccination. As health care workers, we tried to motivate people to take vaccines. At that time son of the teacher attacked us.”

Sudha is currently undergoing treatment at Santirbazar District Hospital in critical condition. The affected health worker filed a case at Shantirbazar police station. A complaint has been lodged with the police against the accused Sakendra Riang and his son Pranjit Riang.
