As of Sunday evening, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to continue until Monday, with Mizoram and south Manipur expected to receive the most rainfall in the northeast.

According to IMD officials, Kohima has received 22.6 mm of rainfall, Aizawl has received 4.8 mm, and Silchar has received 2 mm as of 5.30 pm on Sunday. While these amounts may seem small, they are likely to increase as the cyclone progresses through the region.
