New Delhi, October 18: Delhi Police recovered the mobile phone of former Sikkim CM BB Gurung‘s son, Ujjwal Gurung after it was accidentally left behind in a cab.

ormer Sikkim CM ‘s son Ujjwal Gurung had taken a ride in an Uber cab to Nizamuddin from Saket for an acupressure session. He accidentally left his iPhone behind when he got of the cab.

He immediately contacted the driver and asked him about his missing mobile phone. The driver, however, denied that there was any mobile phone left behind in the car.

Ujjwal Gurung then called his wife, Sudha Gurung, and told her about the incident. As Ujjwal’s iPhone was linked to Sudha Gurung’s tab, she used it to check the last location of the iPhone, following which she reached Safdarjung.

Sudha searched for the nearest police station around her on Google and found Kamla Market Police station closest to her. Sudha Gurung met the station in charge of Surender Dalal, who after taking necessary information about the whole incident, started proceedings immediately.

He entrusted the responsibility of this matter to Havildar Sandeep Chawla, who is a cyber expert, of the police station. When Havildar Sandeep asked the cab driver about the mobile phone, the driver again denied any knowledge.

After this, the constable kept in constant contact with the cab driver. After about an hour of hard work, the cab driver finally accepted that the client had left his iPhone behind.

Subsequently, SHO Kamala Market instructed the driver to reach Safdarjung Police station with the mobile phone. Sudha Gurung also reached the Safdarjung police station. The cab driver handed over the iPhone to Sudha Gurung.
