The floods have caused significant damage to homes, agricultural lands, and infrastructure, and have disrupted the lives of thousands of residents. Rescue and relief operations are underway to assist the affected population and mitigate the impact of the deluge.

According to the flood report by the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), the flood situation is most critical in Bajali district, where approximately 2.6 lakh people have been affected. Other heavily affected districts include Nalbari, Barpeta, Lakhimpur, Baksa, Tamulpur, Darrang, and Kokrajhar.

The floodwaters have submerged a vast area of cropland, affecting agricultural productivity and threatening the livelihoods of the rural population.
