Ashish Congress

Agartala, Feb 01: Ashish Kumar Saha Congress Candidate of Town Bordowali-8 Assembly Constituency said that the people of Tripura wanted the alliance against the BJP in the election of 2023.

Talking about the alliance with CPI (M), Shah said that “It is not a matter of benefit that both the parties are fighting together and it will be good for both. The people of this state did not want the division of votes and they united against the ruling party because the state government has failed completely, they have not done anything. There has been no development here and the law and order are shameful. If we talk about women, then the situation here is very bad. All the common people have the same motivation that they will fight together against it.”

Ashish Kumar Saha, the Congress candidate for the Town Bordowali-8 Assembly constituency, submitted his nomination papers on Monday.

While talking to NortheastRising, Saha stated that “As far as I know Rahul ji will come, Priyanka ji will come, and with them Sachin Pilot ji and Kanhaiya ji. The Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Shri Ashok Gehlot ji, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupesh Baghel ji, and the new Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh is also likely to come. Our INC General Secretary Venugopal ji and Congress President Shri Mallikarjun Kharge ji, of them, will come. Till now 16 candidates of our party have filled the nomination form and all are likely to contest.”

“Congress’s vote share in Tripura has gone up to 39 percent after the by-polls election and the general election is after 8 months. The vote share of Congress in 2018 and the condition of Congress was similar but now under the leadership of Sudip Rai Barman, many BJP MLAs have left BJP and joined Congress. This time Congress will fight well in the elections and we are likely to win,” Saha stated.

Asked about the benefit of the alliance, Ashish Kumar Saha said that “It is not a matter of benefit that both the parties are fighting together and it will be good for both. The people of this state did not want the division of votes and they united against the ruling party because the state government has failed completely, they have not done anything. There has been no development here and the law and order are shameful. If we talk about women, then the situation here is very bad. All the common people have the same motivation that they will fight together against it.”

“Both central and the state governments failed to do anything about the development of Tripura. Their commitment was a complete failure, as a failed government, we want to remove those people,” added the Congress candidate.

Saha lashes out at BJP saying that BJP won the Chief Minister By-elections with false votes.

Ashish Kumar Saha said “a few months ago, there was a by-election here for the Chief Minister. There are fifty-six booths here. The voters were chased away from the vote center by rigging them with fake votes in 66 booths. General Election is around the corner, I believe that these people who gave me a chance to serve here last three times, elected me, this time also these people will give us a chance will vote for us and we will come back as winners.”
