Guwahati, May 04: Due to ongoing repair works along the Jatinga-Harangajao stretch of NH 27 and the forecast of heavy rainfall starting early morning on May 5, a restriction on heavy commercial vehicles’ movement is advised from 8 PM tonight, May 4, until further notice, issued by Dima Hasao police.

All heavy commercial vehicles traveling to or from Barak Valley and beyond via Dima Hasao are urged to reroute through Meghalaya until further updates.

In light of the IMD’s weather warning, residents of Dima Hasao District are advised to refrain from leaving their homes from May 2 to May 4 until the heavy rainfall subsides and conditions normalize. Educational institutions will remain closed during this period.
