Villagers rescued an elephant calf from a hole in Assam’s Golaghat district.

Guwahati, April 12: Elephant calf rescued in Assam by villagers, in Golaghat district on Saturday night after it got stuck in a hole.

According to the reports, a baby elephant was trapped in a hole at the Kathani Bagan area near Marangi in Golaghat district on Sunday night.

The villagers believe the calf was accidentally separated from a herd of elephants which was roaming in the area and the calf fell into a hole in the ground.

Immediately some villagers rushed to the area and also informed local forest department officials and police.

Villagers stood around the hole and tried to work out to rescue the baby elephant.

Finally, they had safely rescued the adorable elephant calf from the hole.
