In response, the Army and a patrolling team from the Jammu and Kashmir administration have launched rescue operations to locate the missing individual and ensure the safety of others.

This incident comes shortly after another avalanche struck a hilly area of Sonamarg on the Srinagar-Leh road, causing disruptions in the flow of water in the Sindh stream.

The recent spell of moderate to heavy snowfall in Kashmir has heightened the risk of avalanches in mountainous regions, emphasizing the importance of exercising caution and adhering to safety protocols in such hazardous conditions.
