Gunotsav 2022 To Be Help In Two Phases, Assam CM Directs Officials For A Famework

Assam, Dec 13: Gunotsav, which is an initiative conducted by the Assam government to measure the performance of all elementary students, assess their individual learning gaps, and prescribe remedial measures to improve their performance, will take place in the state in two phases in 2022.

On December 12, Himanta Biswa Sarma, the Chief Minister of Assam along with other officials had gathered at Janata Bhavan where the decision on the matter was conveyed.

In the announcement, the government announced that the first phase of Gunotsav will take place on April 5 and 7, and the second phase will take place on April 20 and 22.

The meet decided to hold the scholastic evaluation process in two phases in order to cover the maximum number of students. It also discussed changes to the parameters for the evaluation to be implemented under it.

The Assam Government has been conducting Gunotsav since 2017 with a goal to guarantee quality elementary education with improved learning outcomes.

Approximately 42,51,524 students will be enrolled at 46,251 government, provincialized and tea garden-managed schools under the proposed Gunotsav.

In order to ensure quality education with improved learning outcomes, the chief minister has directed his officials to develop a framework that will focus on celebrating the quality and ensuring quality implementation of programs.

There were also senior officials from the education department present, such as adviser Nani Gopal Mahanta and principal secretary B Kalyan Chakraborty.
