Hanging body of BJP worker found in the forest of Midnapore

Bengal, March 26: The first phase of the state polls on Saturday, and before that the body of a BJP worker was recovered in Shalbani in West Midnapore. The body was found hanging from a tree near the BJP worker’s house. The deceased was identified as Lalmohan Saran, 22 years.

The saffron camp claimed that it was the misdeeds of the ruling party Trinamool that killed Lalmohan on Thursday night and hung his body on a tree.

Locals claimed that the area had been in turmoil for the past few days due to the tearing down of flags and removal of walls during the polling. BJP Midnapore activist Lalmohan Saran protested the incident.

However, the Trinamool has claimed that the death was a suicide of a BJP worker.

BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya took a tweet to share the news and wrote “Lalmohan Soren, aged 30, BJP’s booth secretary in Medinipur assembly was found hanging this morning. This is 4th murder in the last 72 hours! Is this Pishi’s idea of “Khela Hobe”? Bengal will respond to TMC’s politics of violence and vote them out for a peaceful progressive WB.”

West Bengal will go to polls in eight phases on March 27, April 1, April 6, April 10, April 17, April 22, April 26, and April 29, respectively. The results of the elections will be announced on May 2.
