Guwahati, April 22: On April 22, a truck struck an ambulance head-on in Assam’s Dhemaji district, killing one man and gravely injuring another. The incident happened in the wee hours of Saturday morning, April 22. The deceased’s identity is still unknown.

The wounded individual was taken to the hospital right away, where it has been reported that he is in critical condition.

According to sources, the ambulance was approaching from the opposite direction when the vehicle, which was moving at a fast speed, over the road barrier and collided with it.

A witness stated that he was passing by and saw one stuck under the wheels while the other was dead. It’s likely that the ambulance arrived from Lakhimpur. The truck has not been familiar though.

The injured guy, who had a wounded leg, had been taken to Lakhimpur Hospital. The incident probably happened at around 5.30 am.

The collision’s force was so great that both vehicles; front ends sustained full destruction.

As soon as word of the collision reached the local police and emergency services, they hurried to the scene. The injured person was taken directly to the hospital for additional care while the body of the deceased was transported for a post-mortem examination.

Earlier on April 15, a tragic traffic collision at Garmur in Bokakhat, Assam, claimed the lives of two bikers. Sources claim that the accident happened when a fast bike collided with a roadside pole. Both riders were flung off their bikes as a result of the collision’s strong impact, which also caused them to suffer grave injuries.

Immediately after being hurt, the bikers were sent to the closest hospital, where upon arrival, medical personnel pronounced them dead. Akash Munda is known to be one of the deceased.
