Imphal, May 18: In a significant operation, an Indian Army patrol, conducting a routine mission along the foothills of Imphal East in Manipur, successfully averted a major threat by recovering a cache of explosives and a remote initiation mechanism for improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The operation took place in Village Bungbal Khullen on May 17.

The diligent efforts of the Indian Army personnel led to the recovery of 3 kilograms of TNT, 15 electric detonators, 4 circuits, and a remote firing device. The prompt action taken by the army patrol played a crucial role in neutralizing the potential danger posed by these explosives.
