Guwahati, May 25: The Indian Tea Association (ITA) on Wednesday expressed concern over the modern-day flood scenario in Barak Valley in Assam which consistent with it has been traditionally reeling below monetary disaster because of lengthy recessionary conditions.

A spokesman of ITA stated as a result of incessant rains because the first week of May, the entire Barak Valley is withinside the grip of intense floods.

All the rivers are flowing a lot above the risk ranges and feature triggered erosion in lots of locations other than submerging numerous regions of the area.

Due to the flood, avenue verbal exchange between Barak Valley and Brahmaputra Valley has been disrupted that’s affecting the delivery of numerous important inputs and dispatch of teas.

Disruption of avenue verbal exchange to numerous tea estates from the primary cities of that area were affected. The spokesman stated there may be extraordinary apprehension of a shortage of important inputs like petroleum, oil, lubricants, and coal.
