Wushu players

Itanagar, Sept 26: Three Wushu players from Arunachal Pradesh, Nyeman Wangsu, Onilu Tega, and Mepung Lamgu, returned to their home state after facing visa denials from Chinese authorities. They had been optimistic about their future performances and called on the government to address the issue.

These Indian athletes were denied entry to China to participate in the Hangzhou Asian Games. All three players hail from Arunachal Pradesh.

Upon their return, the young Wushu players received a warm welcome at the Naharlagun Railway station, with well-wishers, the Wushu association, and family members there to greet them.

They expressed their determination to continue pursuing their passion for the sport and hoped for a resolution to the visa issue, which had disrupted their participation in the international event.
