IndiaSkills 2021 registration open, 28th Feb last date for enrolment

Assam, Feb 7: Assam Skill Development Mission (ASDM) shared a post on social media for the students who are willing to enroll themself in IndiaSkills 2021. The last enrolment is on February 28th, 2021.

In a tweet, ASDM wrote “If you have what it takes to represent your country at the World skill Competition 2022 in Shanghai, register today! Registrations are open for India’s largest skill championship. Log on to https://worldskillsindia.co.in/indiaskill2021/ to register.”

IndiaSkills– a biennial competition–is an opportunity for the youngsters across the country to showcase their functional and vocational skills.

The competition starts at the regional level. Winners at the regional level will compete at the state level. The State champions, in turn, compete for India Skills on the national level.

The potential competitors need to register through a national online portal to participate in IndiaSkills Competitions. The selection will be conducted by the state government with support from Sector Skill Councils and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

 

Eligibility Criteria:

Meet the WorldSkills eligibility criteria, competitors for Shanghai 2022 must be born on or after 1 January 1999 for all skills apart from Mechatronics, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security and Water Technology, Information Network Cabling where competitors must be born on or after 1 January 1996.

Post the skill competitions held at district, state and regional level, IndiaSkills National Competition will be organized in 2021. The competitions will be organized by states and will be supported by the National Skill Development Corporation, in partnership with Sector Skill Councils, Industry Partners, Corporates, and Academic Organizations.

Alongside IndiaSkills Competitions, Abilympics, Olympics of Abilities will also be organized, specifically designed for specially-abled individuals to express their unique talents.

The 22 winners of IndiaSkills 2018 and their experts had represented the country with their outstanding performance at the WorldSkills International 2019 (WSK), held in Kazan, Russia. India won one gold, one silver, two bronze, and 15 Medallions of Excellence at the biggest competition for skills.
