International Yoga Day it is! Let’s do some Yoga and stay fit!
“Yoga at home – Yoga with family” is the theme for the 6th International Yoga Day celebrations which is here amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Well, at a time when going out for a walk or to the gym to do some exercise might cause a life risk, practising Yoga at home is surely the key to stay fit!
Addressing the nation on this occasion, Prime Minister Modi said, “This is the day to spread the message of world friendship. Yog is something which brings us together, reduces distance. This year’s International Yoga Day theme has been decided as “Yoga at home and Yoga with family“. Today we are staying away from other work and practising Yoga with our family”
Now let us take a look at what chief ministers from across the North East have conveyed on this day.
Sikkim Chief Minister, Prem Singh Tamang has urged to adopt the practice of Yoga for a positive mind and a healthy body.

The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu expressed how pleased he was to practice Yoga at 11,000 ft on the serene and peaceful Mandala Top in Dirang. He has welcomed others to join him do the same!
