Jitendra Singh, AICC general secretary

Assam, Dec 7: Jitendra Singh, AICC general secretary and in charge Assam, who was in Barak Valley, addressing workers’ meets at Hailakandi, Karimganj, and Silchar during his two-day round trip that concluded on Sunday said that Bajrang Dal should call as ‘Deshdrohi Dal

Does the Bajrang Dal have an upper hand over the Indian Constitution? They are not. We live in an independent country. Every Indian has the right to choose what they want to consume, what attire to wear or which place of worship to visit and nobody can take that right away from them,” said AICC general secretary said.

Last week, Mithu Nath, general secretary of Bajrang Dal of Cachar district had gone viral. In the video, he said that if any Hindu visit the church during Christmas, he will be brutally beaten up.

On this Jitendra Singh, Every Indian unquestionably has the freedom to decide what food they want to consume, what attire to wear, or which religious place of worship to visit and nobody can take that right away. He had also affirmed that Bajrang Dal should be claimed as ‘Deshdrohi Dal’ as they have always spoken against the prosperity of Indian society.

“When it comes to the alliance, I want to clear this out that some scepticism has been created by BJP regarding this issue. I have visited Guwahati via Dibrugarh. Today I am going to Barrack Valley and the Hill districts. There I will talk to the party members. Bharatiya Congress Committee will take every decision regarding the alliance. The decision will be taken after interacting with the general people of Assam and members of the Congress Party. BJP is trying to polarize the issue. We are Indians and today India is united,” said Singh

The attempt that is being made to destroy this brotherhood among the Indians whether it be in Assam, Bihar, or Telangana is quite perceivable. Bharatiya Congress Committee will take a firm decision on this issue of alliance although no attempt is being made to make the decision right at this point in time,” Jitendra Singh added.
