Dibrugarh, Nov 25: The enchanting melodies of singer Kailash Kher echoed through the picturesque landscape of Majuli’s Kherkatia river bank, marking the commencement of the fourth edition of the Majuli Music Festival. The opening ceremony, held in the Jengrai Chapori village, drew a captivated audience, creating an atmosphere of musical euphoria.

Expressing his excitement, Kailash Kher stated, “I feel extremely honoured and excited to perform at the Majuli music festival.” His mesmerizing performance added a magical touch to the event, setting the tone for the upcoming musical extravaganza.

The festival, organized by the Majuli Music Festival Foundation and RIGBO in collaboration with various governmental and non-governmental organizations, has become a significant cultural event in the region. This youth-led initiative has gained national recognition, with the previous editions attracting over 30,000 attendees.
