New Delhi, Oct 24: Kangana Ranaut, who stars in the upcoming film “Tejas,” is set to make history by becoming the first woman to burn a Ravana effigy in Delhi’s Lav Kush Ramleela on Dussehra. “Tejas,” scheduled for release on October 27, is generating significant excitement among fans, offering a unique action-packed entertainment experience. The film’s trailer has already showcased its potential to deliver an unparalleled cinematic experience.
“Tejas” revolves around the story of a resilient woman, Tejas Gill, and Kangana Ranaut’s portrayal of the character reflects the strength and determination that define her persona. To mark this year’s Dussehra, Kangana will be celebrating the festival at the Red Fort in Delhi, where she will participate in the traditional Ravan Dahan ceremony.
She will be the first woman to ignite the effigy at Delhi’s Lav Kush Ramleela. Traditionally, this role has been reserved for the Prime Minister of India, but this year, due to his election commitments, the Lav Kush Ramlila committee has extended the invitation to women to commemorate the recently passed Women’s Reservation Bill.
While several celebrities are expected to attend this grand event, Kangana has been chosen to set fire to the Ravana effigy.
“Tejas,” produced by RSVP, features Kangana Ranaut in the lead role. The film is written and directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Moviegoers can look forward to its theatrical release on October 27, 2023, promising an exhilarating cinematic experience.
