Khela Hobe

Entertainment, July 04: The iconic slogan ‘Khela Hobe’ from the TMC’s election campaign has now found its way into Bollywood. The trailer of the much-anticipated film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, was released on Tuesday, giving audiences a glimpse of the family drama spectacle.

The trailer, which features elements of filmy dialogues, Alia Bhatt in sarees, and Ranveer Singh’s funny one-liners, sets the stage for a quintessential family drama. It also includes snippets from the songs ‘Dhindora’ and ‘Jhumka’.

In an interesting moment in the trailer, Alia Bhatt uses the phrase ‘Khela Hobe’ when Jaya Bachchan tries to keep her and Ranveer apart. The trailer introduces Alia as a journalist who falls in love with Ranveer’s character, Rocky, who appears to be less educated.

The story revolves around the clash between their families, differing in culture and class. To resolve the conflict, Alia and Ranveer decide to spend time with each other’s families. The trailer showcases Ranveer’s humorous side and highlights Alia’s substantial role in the film.

Before the trailer release, the makers unveiled the first song from the film, titled ‘Tum Kya Mile’. This song, sung by Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal, is a tribute to Yash Johar and received a positive response from the audience, both for its music and the chemistry between the lead pair.

The inclusion of ‘Khela Hobe’ in the film’s trailer adds a touch of political flavor, generating excitement among both political and film enthusiasts. With this crossover, the catchphrase has now transcended its original purpose and become a part of popular culture, bridging the gap between politics and cinema.
