Guwahati, Nov 14: Tensions ran high at Guwahati Railway Station last night after the unexpected, last-minute cancellation of the Guwahati-Silchar train.

A large group of young candidates had gathered at the station, hoping to travel to Silchar for an army recruitment exam scheduled the next day.

The sudden cancellation led to a surge of frustration and disappointment, especially among those who had traveled from various parts of Assam and neighboring states to catch this train.

Unable to find alternative arrangements, many candidates gathered in front of the Paltan Bazar Police Station, chanting slogans to protest against Indian Railways.

As tempers rose, a police team arrived on the scene to control the situation and manage the crowd.
