Imphal, Sep 03: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh strongly condemned the use of drones to drop bombs on civilians and security forces, labeling it as an act of terrorism.
In a statement on his X handle, Singh called the attacks cowardly and emphasized that the state government takes such unprovoked assaults very seriously. He assured that decisive action would be taken to counter these forms of terrorism targeting the indigenous population.

The statement comes in the wake of a fresh incident of violence in Manipur, where two bombs allegedly dropped by drones exploded in the Senjam Chirang Maning region on September 2.
The incident, which occurred around 6:20 pm, injured 23-year-old Watham Sanatombi Devi, a resident of Senjam Chirang Maning Leikai.
The attack has heightened concerns about the growing use of drones in violent activities within the region.
Authorities are investigating the incident to identify the perpetrators and assess the security implications of this disturbing development.
