Imphal, Nov 22: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh expressed his sincere appreciation to the Loktak Development Authority (LDA) for the successful completion of the crucial cleaning work on the Khordak Channel.

The Khordak Channel, located in Loktak Lake, Manipur, holds a vital role in maintaining the ecological balance of this picturesque wetland.

This water channel is instrumental in regulating water flow, playing a crucial part in sustaining a delicate equilibrium that supports local communities and a diverse array of plant and animal life.

Taking to the X platform, CM Biren Singh shared news of this accomplishment and called on everyone to contribute to the conservation of their natural resources.

He stated, “This achievement is a significant stride toward realizing my cherished vision of restoring Loktak Lake to its pristine, untouched grandeur. Preserving Loktak Lake is not merely a governmental initiative; it is a collective responsibility that demands the active participation of every community.
