Imphal, Oct 28: In a major crackdown, Manipur Police apprehended an active member of the banned Kangleipak Communist Party (Progressive War Group), KCP(PWG), during an operation in Keibul Chingmeirong Mayai Leikai, Bishnupur district.
The arrested individual, identified as 47-year-old Oinam Amar Singh, also known as “Joy,” was taken into custody based on specific intelligence inputs.

During the operation, authorities seized two mobile handsets and three SIM cards from Singh’s possession. These items are expected to offer crucial insights into the group’s activities and network.
