1. Manipur police detained Loitongbam Boyai Singh (43), an active KCP (Taibanganba) member, in Thoubal district.

Imphal, April 02: Manipur police arrested Loitongbam Boyai Singh (43), an active cadre of the proscribed outfit KCP (Taibanganba), on April 1 in Thoubal district.
Singh was apprehended for his involvement in extortion activities in the Yaripok-Nongpok Sekmai area.
During the operation, the police seized a pistol, 10 live ammunition rounds, a hand grenade with a detonator, Rs. 3000 in cash, a mobile phone, and a Bolero vehicle from Singh’s possession. These items are believed to be connected to his illegal activities.
Following the arrest, a case has been registered against Singh for further investigation into his activities and connections within the outfit.

In addition to Singh’s arrest, Manipur police conducted extensive search operations and installed 129 Nakas/Checkpoints across different districts of the state on April 1.
These efforts, which spanned both hill and valley regions, aimed to curb various violations and illegal activities.
As a result of these operations, a total of 343 individuals were detained by the police in connection with various violations across different districts of Manipur.
The detained individuals will undergo further investigation to determine their involvement in any illegal activities or offenses.
