1. Manipur Police arrested an active member of the banned outfit PREPAK(Pro) from Okram Chuthek, Imphal East, on July 22.
2. The individual, identified as 43-year-old Sapam Priyojit Singh, was involved in extorting government employees.
3. A mobile phone was recovered from his possession.


Imphal, July 23: Manipur Police arrested an active member of the banned outfit PREPAK(Pro) from Okram Chuthek, Imphal East, on July 22.

The individual, identified as 43-year-old Sapam Priyojit Singh, was involved in extorting government employees. A mobile phone was recovered from his possession.

In addition, security forces conducted search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts.

They ensured the movement of 266 vehicles carrying essential items along NH-2.

Strict security measures have been implemented in all vulnerable locations, with a security convoy provided in sensitive stretches to ensure the safe movement of vehicles.

99 Nakas/Checkpoints were installed across different districts of Manipur, both in the hill and valley regions. The police detained 60 individuals for violations in various districts of the state.
