After joining hands with TMC Sounder S. Cajee said “At the very outset, people asked me why would we vote for a Bengali party? In Mawkyrwat, there are 100% of Khasi people. TMC is a party that has worked for the downtrodden, the minorities. At the same time, the people of Meghalaya would like the NPP government to go away. My message to the people of Meghalaya is that they should join the party to bring change in Meghalaya because in 2023 Meghalaya TMC would form the government in the state.”
