Mizoram September 29: Mizoram has reported 50 new COVID cases. 18 BSF jawans have tested positive for COVID in Mizoram. This takes the state’s total count to 1958.
Out of the 50 new positive COVID-19 cases, 42 cases are ZMC RT-PCR positive, 7 are TrueNAT positive cases and 1 is Rapid Antigen Test positive case.

The number of sample testes at ZMC by PT-PCR is 807, the number of Rapid Antigen tests administered are 523 and the number of sample tests at TrueNAT labs in the district hospital is 94.

Out of the positive ZMC RT-PCR cases, 23 positive cases (9 males, 14 females), 19 cases (all males) from quarantine centres which include 14 CRPF personnel. Out of the TrueNAT positive cases, 7 cases in Lunglei district (6 BSF and one AR personnel), all males and out of the RAgT positive cases, 1 case from Aizawl district.

So far Mizoram has 499 active COVID-19 cases, while 1459 patients have recovered from the disease with no deaths till date.
