This milestone came after the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) secured a commanding 78-run win over the SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Having been a part of the IPL since its inception in 2008, Dhoni has played 259 matches, making him one of the most experienced players in the league. Renowned for his leadership prowess, Dhoni is also the joint-most successful captain in IPL history, having led his teams to victory in five seasons. For the ongoing season, however, Dhoni entrusted the captaincy to Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Dhoni’s remarkable feat of being part of 150 wins places him at the top of the list of players with the most victories in the IPL.

The illustrious list includes stalwarts like Ravindra Jadeja and Rohit Sharma, who closely trail behind Dhoni with 133 wins each. Dinesh Karthik and Suresh Raina complete the top five with 125 and 122 victories, respectively.

In addition to his leadership achievements, Dhoni has also made significant contributions to the field. His cameo appearances with the bat have been crucial for CSK, often swinging the momentum in their favor.

Despite limited opportunities, Dhoni has managed to score 96 runs in just 37 balls this season, showcasing his ability to accelerate the innings when needed.
