Multiple bomb blasts rock people in Assam on Republic Day, 2020. There were no reports of any deaths as most people were mostly indoors since it was a holiday. According to the reports, one blast took place at Tiyakghat Tiniali area near Sonari in Assam’s Charaideo district. Following the explosion top police officials had rushed to the area and collected splinter and other items from the area.
On the other hand, second blast took place at Dibrugarh Graham Bazar area in Dibrugarh district.
Third blast took place at Marwaripatty Gurudwara area in Dibrugarh town and fourth in oil town Duliajan district on Sunday morning.
Fifth blast took place at Koliapani bridge near Doomdooma in Tinsukia district.
The incident comes at a time when the country was celebrating its 71st Republic Day on 26th of January, 2020.
