Kohima, Oct 09: Drugs worth Rs 35.98 lakh had been destroyed in Kohima on Saturday, police said.
Among the drugs burnt on the premises of the Kohima SP workplace had been 374 kg of ganja, 15 kg of raw opium, and 350 grams of heroin, they said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah witnessed the destruction actually from Guwahati, Additional Superintendent of Police (SP) Vitoshe K Sumi said.
Approx 40,000kg of drugs were destroyed in North-eastern states in presence of Union Home Minister, Shri @AmitShah.

Government and police officers, representatives of churches and different colonies were present at the SP office during the destruction.
