Kohima, Nov 01: Temjen Imna Along, a Member of the Nagaland Legislative Assembly, is known for sharing entertaining posts on social media. While traveling from Delhi to Kolkata, he received a wholesome note from an IndiGo Airlines crew member.
He shared a picture of the note that read, “Dear Sir, It was nice having you on flight 6 &(513) DEL-COU. YOU WERE LOOKING SO CUTE LIKE YOU ALWAYS. I should have given you my phone number, but we have the same “SURNAME,” so we are basically “BROTHERS AND SISTERS.” THANK YOU FOR FLYING WITH INDIGO” from, Além.

Sharing the picture of this sweet note, Along humorously wrote, “In simple language… she didn’t give me her phone number.”
Along’s tweet quickly gained over six lakh views and thousands of likes. In response, a user humorously asked him if he took an oath in school that all Indians are his brothers and sisters. The 42-year-old bachelor politician said, “I did take such an oath but I couldn’t imagine it would result in this.”

Netizens also joked that Along should now greet the flight attendant during Raksha Bandhan, a Hindu festival celebrating the bond between brothers and sisters. Echoing this view, a person wrote, “Wish her on Raksha Bandhan now!”

This is not the first time that Along has humorously lamented not getting any phone numbers while flying. In March, he shared a picture of a handwritten note that was passed to him on a flight, assuming it was someone sharing their WhatsApp number. However, it turned out to be a note of gratitude from the IndiGo Airlines crew. Along cheekily wrote, “Thought it was the WhatsApp Number! Better luck on your next flight – Temjen” and added a wink emoji.

In addition to his light-hearted posts, Along also uses social media to address the issue of racism faced by people from the North East. Last year in July, he shared a video of his speech in which he recounted his experience of visiting New Delhi for the first time in 1999. In his signature witty style, Along humorously said that he was surprised to see a massive crowd at the railway station and compared it with the entire population of his state.
He further joked about the misconception that Naga people eat humans, saying, “Some people have spread the rumor that Naga people eat humans, and looking at me, people grew even more suspicious.”
