West Bengal, Jan 21 Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) team of Kolkata has destroyed the 100 acres of hemp crops in the two villages from Cooch Behar district of West Bengal. A case has been registered against Shyamal Chandra Roy, a landowner.

Raids were conducted in Maghapala village of Cooch Behar district where hemp was cultivated on 32 Bighas. The hemp crop has been destroyed in collaboration with local police.

In another incident, about 91.60 acres of cannabis crop have also been destroyed in the village of Phalimari.
