Lok Sabha Elections, May 13: Phase 4 of the Lok Sabha elections covering 96 constituencies across 10 States/UTs is scheduled for Monday. Voting will commence at 7 am and conclude at 6 pm.

The Election Commission of India received 4,264 nominations for these constituencies, with 1,717 candidates in the final fray. Telangana had the highest number of nominations at 1,488, followed by Andhra Pradesh with 1,103 nominations across 25 constituencies.

  • The fourth phase of Lok Sabha elections witnessed over 62% per cent voter turnout till 5pm on Monday across 96 constituencies in 10 states and Union Territories.

    West Bengal recorded the highest polling with 75.66 per cent voter turnout followed by Madhya Pradesh at 68.01 per cent. Jammu and Kashmir and Maharashtra were the laggards with 35.75 per cent and 52.49 per cent polling till 3pm

  • The Election Commission of India (ECI) has recorded a voter turnout of 52.60 per cent (approximately) till 3 pm in the Phase 4 polling in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, the data shared by Voter Turnout app stated. West Bengal recorded the highest turnout with 66.05 per cent polling, followed by Madhya Pradesh (59.63 per cent) and Andhra Pradesh (55.49 per cent).

  • Voter turnout in the ongoing fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections stood at 40.32 per cent as of 1 pm, according to the Election Commission of India. The highest turnout was recorded in West Bengal at 51.87 per cent and the lowest in Jammu And Kashmir at 23.57 per cent. Voter turnout in the other states where polling is currently underway stood at 48.52 per cent in Madhya Pradesh, 43.80 per cent in Jharkhand, 40.38 per cent in Telangana, 40.26 per cent in Andhra Pradesh, 39.68 per cent in Uttar Pradesh, 39.30 per cent in Odisha, 34.44 per cent in Bihar, and 30.85 per cent in Maharashtra.

  • As of 11 am, the voter turnout in the ongoing fourth phase of the Lok Sabha elections stood at 24.87 per cent, according to the Election Commission of India. The highest voter turnout was recorded in West Bengal at 32.78 per cent, while the lowest was in Jammu and Kashmir at 14.54 per cent. Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh recorded 32.38 per cent as the voter percentage, followed by Jharkhand (27.40), Uttar Pradesh (27.12), Telangana (24.31), Odisha (23.28), Andhra Pradesh (23.10), Bihar (22.54) and Maharastra (17.51)

In a tweet, he said, “In today’s 4th Phase of the Lok Sabha elections, 96 seats across 10 States and UTs are going to the polls. I am sure people in these constituencies will vote in large numbers and the young voters as well as women voters will power this surge in voting. Come, let’s all do our duty and strengthen our democracy!”
