Delhi, March 15: PM Modi praises the film ‘The Kashmir Files’ inside BJP parliamentary party and said that “it is a very good movie. You all must see this film. More films like this should be made.”

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “While *most films* crash/fall on the crucial Monday, #TheKashmirFiles is on a RECORD-SMASHING SPREE… Mon is similar to Sun… #TKF is a SMASH-HIT… On course to be a BLOCKBUSTER… Fri 3.55 cr, Sat 8.50 cr, Sun 15.10 cr, Mon 15.05 cr. Total: ₹ 42.20 cr. #India biz.”

Anupam Kher tweeted, “Anonymous compliments are the best because you know they aren’t trying to gain anything out of it!! Thank you my anonymous friend for making this. I am delighted to see it!! #TheKashmirFiles @vivekagnihotri”

Yami Gautam recently tied the knot with filmmaker Aditya Dhar and said that Being married to a Kashmiri Pandit, I know first hand of the atrocities that this peace-loving community has gone through. The business of The Kashmir Files grew bigger on its first Monday which happens in the case of rare films only. So much so that the film’s collection on Monday seems to be bigger than its opening day.

That is because this Anupam Kher starrer is purely running wild on the basis of good word-of-mouth. The Kashmir Files had opened to Rs 3.55 crore and its first Monday seems to have got wrapped up around a whopping Rs 16 crore. This is more than even four times the opening day collection.

The Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri-directorial, which is made on the Kashmiri Pandits exodus of 1990, has got massive traction coming from UP and Gujarat – both the circuits are to be the mass belts and any film running in these regions become unstoppable. With such a fantastic Monday, the four-day collection of The Kashmir Files is expected to be around Rs 43 crore.

Check out the four-day Box Office breakup of The Kashmir Files:
