New Delhi, Feb 03: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Saturday that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stalwart LK Advani would be conferred with the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award.

In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi expressed his happiness and extended congratulations to Advani for this prestigious honor.

PM Modi’s tweet read, “I am very happy to share that Shri LK Advani Ji will be conferred the Bharat Ratna. I also spoke to him and congratulated him on being conferred this honour.” He further highlighted Advani’s significant contributions to India’s development, describing him as “one of the most respected statesmen of our times.”

The Prime Minister acknowledged Advani’s life journey, commencing from grassroots work to serving the nation as the Deputy Prime Minister.
