Bhubaneswar, Oct 31: Raghubar Das was officially inaugurated as the 26th Governor of Odisha in a special ceremony at the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar. Orissa High Court Acting Chief Justice Dr. Bidyut Ranjan Sarangi administered the oath of office to Das. The ceremony was attended by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, state ministers, MLAs, MPs, and other prominent figures. Following the oath-taking, Das received a guard of honor.

Before the official swearing-in, Raghubar Das, aged 69, and his family visited the Shree Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar to seek the blessings of the deity for the welfare of Odisha and its people.

Raghubar Das, a former Chief Minister of neighboring Jharkhand, was appointed as the new Governor of Odisha by President Dropadi Murmu on October 18.
