Agartala, Nov 21: All India Congress Committee (AICC) leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra are slated to make a visit to Tripura in December, according to Szarita Laitphlang, the AICC in-charge for Tripura. The visit is anticipated to occur shortly after the announcement of the poll results in the five states.

Szarita Laitphlang, during a meeting of the Mahila Congress in Pradesh Congress Bhawan, Agartala, emphasized the importance of transforming the Mahila Congress into a frontal organization and fortifying its role. The meeting delved into the challenging conditions faced by women across the country and discussed strategies for empowering them.

Speaking to reporters, Laitphlang highlighted that the forthcoming visit of Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Vadra Gandhi aims to address the issues confronted by the people of Tripura. She mentioned that various events are scheduled during their visit in December, providing an avenue for AICC leaders to become acquainted with local problems.

“With the ongoing election process in five states, leaders are currently occupied. The finalized date for Rahul and Priyanka’s program will be decided after the election results are announced. They will visit on different dates, and we are coordinating with their office,” she added.
